Two Weeks Extension – ANTA Scholarship Program 2024: Invest in Your Future

Dear ANTA Community,

ANTA (www.terai.org) is thrilled to announce scholarships for high school students from the Teraian Community residing in the USA for the academic year 2024. We believe that supporting these deserving students will not only help them achieve their educational goals but also inspire them to give back to their community and country in meaningful ways in the future. We encourage all eligible students to apply and take advantage of this opportunity.

Given the high demand from parents and students, we’re extending the application deadline by 2 weeks and expanding the eligibility to include high school juniors.

ANTA consistently supports and stands by students, especially those from the Nepali community who are in need. We have been awarding scholarships to high school students each year to recognize and acknowledge those pursuing college education. The purpose of this scholarship program is to honor high school students who are passionate about creating a better future and making a positive impact in the world.

ANTA Offers Multiple Award Categories for the Year 2024: 

  1. ANTA Educational Scholarship: At least 3 applicants $500-$1000.
  2. Dream Foundation Award: To one student $600 (Sponsored by Mrs. Rashmi Jha & Mr. Sushil Jha on behalf of Dream Foundation).

Scholarship Award Amount:

ANTA Educational Scholarship: $500 – $1000

Dream Foundation: $600

Eligibility Criteria:

  • High School Senior (12th Grade) & Junior (11th Grade) 2024-25.
  • At least one parent must be a current active ANTA member.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Submit a 500–700-word essay on one of the following topics.
  1. Community Service and Its Importance: Reflect on the role of community service in your life and how it has influenced your perspective and future aspirations.
  2. The Role of Youth in Social Change: Analyze the potential and responsibility of young people in driving social change and addressing global issues.

How to Apply

Application Deadline: Extended till Sept 6, 2024

Submission Options:

Documents:

  1. Essay: Attach your essay in a word document (No more than 700 words).
  2. Resume: Include your academic background, volunteer activities, skills, achievements, awards received, and any community service.
  3. Required Information: Applicant Name, USA Address, Email Id, Contact number, School Name, Address in Nepal, ANTA Member Name, & Relationship with ANTA Member.

Selection Criteria:

  1. A diverse Scholarship Committee will review applications based on academic merit, content, extracurricular activities, and community service involvement.
  2. The committee’s decision is final.

Scholarship Announcement: Award recipients will be notified by email by Sept 20, 2024.

Note: Multiple ANTA awards cannot be given to the same student.
