ए मानव ! तँ को होस् ?
न तेरो घरनै छ, न थरै
आज शताब्दियौँ पछि तलाई म सोधिरहेछु
मलाई भन्
तेरो सक्कली पहिचान के हो ?
मलाई तेरो पहिचानको जरुरी भएको छ !

तँ
शान्तिको प्रतीक बुद्ध बन्न सक्छस्,
क्रान्तिका संवाहक जर्जवासिङ्गटन,
लेनिन, माओत्सेतुङ अनि गान्धी
प्रेमका विम्बहरू
शाहजहाँ, मुमताज, रोमियो, जुलियट र हेलेन
आदि आदि बन्न सक्छस् भने
घृणाका नाममा तँ हिट्लरहरू बन्छस् !

अनि तँ नै
युगीन दासप्रथा, जाति र रङ्गभेद पनि हुन सक्छस्
यसैले मलाई तेरो असली पहिचान जरुरी भएको छ
विकासका नाममा तँ युगान्तकारी हुन खोज्छस्,
ब्रमाण्ड नै छुन खोज्छस् !
कतै त
तँ अनवरत यात्रामा हिँड्दा हिँड्दै सडकमै मागेर मर्छस् !

तँ आफूलाई
राम,कृष्ण, मोजेस, जिजस, मोहम्मद
आदिआदिका दूत सम्झिन्छस्
अनि
यिनकै नाममा तँ आफूलाई
फगत् आफैंलाई मारी हिँड्छस् ?
यसैले
मलाई तेरो सक्कली रूप देख्नु जरुरी भएको छ !

ए मान्छे !
समानताका रूपमा तँ लिङ्कन नै बन्न खोज्छस्
ज्ञान विवेक र कल्याणका दिव्य मधुहरूमा
तँ
उपनिषद्, गीता, वाइवल र कुरानहरू होस्
अनि
तँ नै स्वतन्त्रताको प्रतीक ‘लिवर्टी टावर’ होस् रे !

हा ! हा ! हा !

त्यसैले होला हे मानव !
अझै कति तँ आफ्नै जातिसित पानी बार्छस् !

साहित्यमा
तँ कालिदास, शेक्सपियर, टल्सट्वाय, रवीन्द्रनाथ टगोर
अनि आदिकवि र देवकोटा नै मात्र किन ?
तँ स्वयं गणेश र सरस्वतीकै प्रतिमूर्ति होइनस् र ?
तेरै स्वार्थ का लागि तँैले नै
विभिन्न ईश्वरको रचना गरेको होइन र ?

अनि फेरि
साहित्य, सङ्गीत, कला र चिन्तनका सन्देशहरूलाई
तँ नै लातमारी हिँड्छस् भने
अब तेरो मूल्याङ्कन गर्ने बेला आएको छ

म पनि मानव चेत नै हुँ, एउटै सिक्काको अर्को पाटो
तँ विध्वंशकारी होस् भने म सकारात्मक सिर्जनशील चेतना हुँ
तँ घृणा, आतङ्क फैलाउदै जा !
म प्रेम, शान्ति, र सद्भावको एकता फैलाउदै जाने छु !
तँ विध्वंश र विनाश गर्दै जा !
सृजना र सम्बृध्दि गर्दै जाने छु…..

म छोड्नेवाला छैन
यसैले मलाई तेरो नियत जान्नु जरुरी भएको छ ।
हो मानव,
