We, at Nepa Pasa Pucha Amerikaye (NPPA), are extremely saddened by the demise of Mr. Dhan Prasad Shrestha, father of NPPA Patron Mrs. Leena Shrestha-Menon and father-in-law of NPPA Patron Mr. Rajiv Menon. He passed away in Kathmandu, Nepal on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the age of 81 years. He was born on September 4, 1944 in Tehrathum, Nepal.
Mr. Shrestha is survived by his spouse, three daughters, a son, and four grandchildren.
A trailblazer in his field, Mr. Shrestha was a gold medalist from Roorkee University, a distinction that marked the beginning of an illustrious career. As the Chief Engineer for Nepal Water Supply, he dedicated his life to providing access to clean water, profoundly impacting the lives of countless people across Nepal.
Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved Shrestha-Menon and Shrestha families for their irreparable loss. Our prayers are with them at this tough time of grief and pray for the eternal and heavenly peace of the departed soul.
