Kathmandu. Former king Gyanendra Shahle is said to have given up his position and privilege for the welfare of the people.
Stating that he is ready to sacrifice his life for the progress of Nepal, he said – If you want to save Nepal, then I am calling upon the countrymen to join us for the prosperity and progress of the country.
Congratulating on the occasion of Democracy Day, Purva Raja Shahle said that debate, conflict, protest and resistance should not have any meaning in democracy.
“Beautiful words are not just words but behavior and service spirit and conduct are needed to bring democracy,” he said in the video message.
While saying that prohibition should not be made a force for democracy, he said, “The arrogance of the party and the opposition and their own kind of stubbornness cannot make democracy dynamic. The history of the country has been erased. Nepal has ceased to exist. Promising youth have come out with great enthusiasm. Nepali people have sweated their maternal uncle till the end.”
Change the system, change the situation, change it better, it is a sad thing, it is a comment.
“No matter what crisis the nation is facing,” Shahle said, “we have been generous. I have given up my position and facilities for the welfare of the people. Tyagalai should not be determined by astringent weakness. The meaning of our sacrifice should be encompassing everyone. Let us move forward with the hekha of saying, “Hamari usihatalai metaaer hami ubho laggaun.”
