Embassy of Nepal in Ottawa conducted mobile consular camp in Surrey of British Columbia province of Canada from 15 to 16 February 2025. The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Hindu Buddhist Foundation of Canada (HBFC), Nepal Cultural Society of British Columbia (NCSBC), Non-Resident Nepali Association Canada (NRNA) and other community organizations of Nepali diaspora in that province. The mobile service camp was held in the premise of the HBFC Temple.

Nepali nationals, particularly Nepali students in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta provinces of Canada, received passport renewal and other consular services. The Embassy of Nepal for some time has been striving to deliver services closer to the provinces where there is a sizeable presence of Nepali diaspora and students. This effort of the Embassy has been received well by the service seekers and the diaspora community as it creates great convenience to them in terms of saving time and resources.

The Embassy of Nepal in Ottawa appreciates the spontaneous cooperation and collaboration of all those partner organizations, their office bearers, community leaders and volunteers to make this mobile consular camp successful and looks forward to similar kind of collaboration in the future as well.

Coinciding with the occasion, the Embassy of Nepal also held a meet and greet session with Nepali diaspora entrepreneurs in Vancouver on 15 February 2025. Prominent members of Nepali diaspora entrepreneurs made presentations on their journey of business and the success they have achieved. Ambassador of Nepal to Canada H.E. Mr. Bharat Raj Paudyal encouraged the entrepreneurs to utilize their niche skills, expertise, and potentials to grow and prosper. Highlighting the policy reforms brought by the Government of Nepal, he invited the entrepreneurs to contribute for promoting trade between Nepal and Canada and bring technology, know how and investments to Nepal.
